As president, I oversee the chapter’s programs and collaborate with faculty and board members to reach PSI CHI’s objectives. I’m currently in my seventh semester studying psychology and look to go on to medical school after Hunter. Outside of academics, my interests lie in fashion and fitness. My biggest goal this year is to create a more engaging environment for our members. If you have any questions feel free to reach out; I look forward to meeting you guys.

I’m a junior with a Psychology major and I’m a Pre-Optometry student. I’m a part of the Vision Research Lab at Hunter, which combines both of my interests in Psychology and Optometry. In my free time, I like to relax, eat good food, and hang with friends. I love to help people so if you ever need advice on career options, classes, clubs, etc. feel free to stop by!

I’m a junior in the Athena Scholar program, majoring in cognitive psychology and minoring in Japanese and English. This year, I want to increase general knowledge about Psi Chi and create an inviting space for all students to join. I’m an REU student at Baruch College, working in Dr. Scherbaum’s lab. Outside of Psi Chi, I’m also the president of Hunter Hawkappella and love rehearsing and performing with my group. I hope to meet everyone soon!
Secretary – Ishaq Chowdhury
Hey everyone! I’m a Junior in the Athena Scholars Program majoring in Cognitive Psychology and I’m hoping to get a Ph.D. to do research specifically in Educational Psychology. I love teaching and I hope to improve the way we teach and learn information. I’ve worked with students from K-6 at a tutoring center, and have been working with students from grades 7-8 for the past year. Other than psych and education, I’m also really interested in writing and love watching t.v. shows when I’m free. If anyone wants to share any of their writing with me or talk about anything you’re watching, feel free to reach out to me!
President – Joseph Mogrovejo
Hey everyone! This year I plan on making numerous events that cater to the various interests of students here at Hunter College. I’m a MARC scholar with an interest in research and strive for a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology. I am currently working as a research assistant at Dr. Miranda’s lab located at Hunter College. In my spare time, I like to take care of my dog, Louie, and hang out with my friends. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I was inviting and open so if you have any questions about the club, feel free to stop by or send us a dm!

My name is Syemum but I prefer Sy. I’m currently a fourth-year student at Hunter College and Majoring in Economics while minoring in Psychology. I’d like to describe myself as driven because I give myself lofty goals. Other than the psych club, I like to spend my time learning random skills. Secretary – Stephanie Hinck
As a transfer student at Hunter, I wanted to get involved in campus and find a club that fit my interests, so I joined the Psychology Club and Psi Chi. I am currently doing research at CUNY Guttman where I distribute and analyze satisfaction surveys to the employees and students. I plan to pursue my Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology next Fall! In my free time I like to watch Netflix (The Office is my favorite), find cool places to eat in the city, and hang out with my friends! I hope that these clubs can serve as a fun and open environment for any student interested in getting involved on campus, is seeking advice, or is looking to learn more about psychology!
