How to apply to PSI CHI


1. Go to http://www.psichi.org/?page=JoinToday (or click “Apply for Membership” on the http://www.psichi.org homepage, bottom right)


2. Read the qualifications for application and select “APPLY NOW”. Please note: the qualifications listed on the website’s application page are the *minimum* requirements set by the Psi Chi Central Office. It is the Hunter criteria stated above in this email that are used to evaluate applications. If accepted you will be asked to pay $55.00 to process your induction.


3. Choose “Hunter College of the City University of NY” from the Local Chapter drop-down menu and fill out the application, including your full name, address, and your CUNYFirst (or other CUNY-provided) ID number. In addition *all* fields of the application form with a red asterisk must be filled in or the application will not be accepted. Those fields without an asterisk are optional and may be left blank if you choose, though they help Psi Chi know more about their members for development of future programs and funding opportunities.


4. Retrieve PSI Checklist from the psychology advising office in room 611 in the north building (The checklist is included at the bottom of this page.)  Submit a filled out checklist along with a copy of your unofficial transcript to the advising office.


5. A PSI faculty advisor will contact you about the status of your application and the next steps.
